The story behind our dye colors
Indigo
Fermented in a vat, not painted on. The cloth turns green first, then blue, the moment it meets air.
Marigold
Boiled straight from the flower head. The most forgiving dye a beginner can trust.
Madder
The root has to be three years old before it gives up any color worth keeping.
